Steamboat Bill Jr. was a 1928 silent romantic comedy, directed by Charles Reisner (story by Carl Harbaugh).

William Canfield Jr. (Buster Keaton) visits his father (Ernest Torrence) who runs a steamboat, and falls in love with the daughter of John James King (Tom McGuire) who is his fathers business rival.

The movie was parodied by Walt Disney's "Steamboat Willie", which also is the first Mickey Mouse movie to become commercialy succesful.
